 Challenge

There was very little content in Korean on Naver coming up in searches related to the brand. Furthermore, some of the results were for other brands whose name was similar, but which were not even from the same industry.

 Solution

We coordinated an influencer marketing campaign in order to bring up more relevant content in the Naver results for our client.

Influencer marketing is performing well as an alternative to PPC. The client’s brand is associated with influencers which builds trust (key in Asian markets).

Execution

 
 
  1. A team of Social Media Specialists and native South Korean linguists worked together to find relevant influencers.
  2. The selection of influencers was approved by the client.
  3. We put together an attractive offer for the influencers and started contacting them. 50% of influencers were interested and wanted to hear more.
  4. After negotiating costs and editorial guidelines, 50% of the remaining influencers published original articles describing the benefits of using the luxury e-commerce website, including backlinks to the client’s South Korean website.
