Overview
This measurement and analytics audit reviews the set up in GTM and GA4 against your stated KPIs, with a view to ensuring that the website itself and the configuration of GTM and GA4 are delivering the right data and only the right data.
Where mismatches are discovered, the cause will be identified, and a solution will be proposed.
We will dig deep into each KPI, replicating them one by one, reviewing behaviour in GTM preview and GA4 debug, and deliver two living documents:
- A Tag Implementation Plan, which details each KPI, its conditions/triggers and the variables and required parameters to pass to GA4.
- An Event Parameters Log, detailing the parameters and variables required for the Tag Implementation Plan.
These documents work hand-in-hand with each other. They should be used as a reference with all stakeholders involved in your measurement activity to ensure transparency and consistency of approach to ensure that the integrity of your data is protected.
We will also ensure that your Google Ads and Google Search Console are correctly linked to your relevant GA4 property
Each time your Measurement Plan is updated, the Tag Implementation Plan should be checked to ensure the change is already covered. If not, both the Tag Implementation Plan and the Event Parameter log should be updated – we have a separate service for this.
