Begin your on-page optimisation project

It is well-known that successful on-page optimisation projects start with solid keyword research. But just before that, in order to acquire an all-round view of the specific pages to optimise, it is recommended to look into the search query performance of each page. This will help gather useful insights into the keywords that are currently driving traffic to the page, the ones for which the page has been historically ranking in Google’s search results and the current ranking performance. All this information will be collated in an organic search query report and will help the keyword research process, ultimately driving well-informed decisions for the pages’ optimisation.

An organic search query report can help…

When you wish to initiate a keyword research process with the scope of improving your keyword targeting, to ultimately achieve an increase in both traffic and ranking position.

When you need further insights into your current ranking performance and you would like to know which search terms are triggering one or more pages of your website to appear in Google’s results pages.

When you need to gather historical data on particular URLs’ performance.

What our clients say

SurveyMonkey - Korea and Naver

The Webcertain team has helped us increase our presence in South Korea, through their knowledge and expertise of working with Naver. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and we highly value their constant support, as well as their transparency.

Why run an organic search query report?

In order to obtain a full picture on your existing ranking performance and keyword targeting opportunities, it is good practice to run an organic search query report.

This will gather valuable information on the traffic, engagement and rankings that particular keywords are bringing to specific landing pages of your website over a maximum period of 16 months, combined with other useful insights, such as current ranking performance and ranking URLs, engagement and traffic presented as clicks, impressions and click-through rates (CTR).

This report can then be used as a starting point or as an additional resource for keyword research. It can help you make informed decisions into your keyword targeting and overall page optimisation.

How it works

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire with your Account Manager to clarify your objectives and what information is needed in order to set up your reporting. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

You will need to have a valid Google Search Console account for the website you wish to have the report produced for, and you will need to give us access to this account by adding us as users.

One of our SEO Specialists will create the report for you, which will be delivered in an Excel spreadsheet. The file will contain clicks, impressions, CTRs and ranking positions of your selected URLs, segmented by keywords over a certain period of time.

Please note: The time range that we can set to collect the data for this report can vary depending on the date the property was created in Google Search Console and cannot be longer than 16 months.
