The importance of reviewing machine translations
You may use machine translation as part of your localisation strategy. In such an instance, it is advisable that you include an element of human post-editing where the machine-generated content will be reviewed and amended where possible.
Please note that due to the nature of machine translation, there may be a variance in quality from language to language. As engines need to be “trained”, some languages are more successful than others, and will therefore require less post-editing at this stage.
We would advise that a translation review is initially carried out on a sample of your content in order to assess the overall quality, and allow us to build the most suitable solution to meet your machine translation requirements.
Please note that the outcome of the translation review may establish that it would be better, and more cost effective, to re-translate or review your content completely from scratch based on the original source.
