When you need to change a banner on a page
Banners are a great tool to promote your services in your website and also direct users to find out more about them.
Keeping the banners fresh is vital to ensure that the space they take up on your webpage is used to the greatest effect.
Relevance is also key – by customising the banners that appear on each page you ensure that your users are only seeing additional services or calls to action that are relevant to the content they are currently viewing.
We will amend banners that appear on the pages identified, amending in the text, images and/or linking URLS specified by you or placing a different pre-existing banner on the page in question.
Once the amendments are made we will submit a request for publication to the ODP team, ensuring that the banner is correctly placed once made live by the ODP team.
The process begins by completing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation of all our quality checks.
We will need you to provide the following information:
We will need permission to access and amend the page within CQ5.
Our websites team will identify the location of banner within the SAP CQ5 CMS application and make the amendments accordingly. We will then send a request to the Online Development & Publishing (ODP) team for approval.
If we are unable to make that change requested because the requested banner is not authorised for use in the appropriate country or there is a technical issue why it cannot be published as requested e.g. the text provided is too long, we will pass the requested to the ODP team or revert to the team member requesting the service to seek clarification. In this event we will make a further charge for the application of the amendment - see service Promotion Banner Change – Rework.
