How it works

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives for the research and identify your target audience. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the research and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

If you do not have an app that is live in the app stores, we will need a list of initial themes on which to base our research (e.g. app functions/product type/industry jargon).

If you have a live app – in addition to the above requirement – we will also need a “seed” list of keywords that you are currently targeting.

A researcher who is native to your target country will take the initial seed list (if provided) and use tools to expand and identify patterns of search that could be used in the app stores. They will also conduct research on the monthly search volume estimates for the target country for these keywords.

Once you have approved the keywords delivered, you will receive the list of keywords in an Excel format, grouped by theme and including search volume data.
