Zalando Introduces Loyalty Scheme

The ecommerce clothing marketplace Zalando has introduced a loyalty plan for its customers. Called Zalando Zet, it enables subscribed consumers access to benefits such as fast delivery, same-day pickup and personal fashion advice. The service will begin as an invitation-only program for customers residing in a handful of cities in Zalando's home country of Germany. If this testing phase is successful, then it will be expanded to further locations. The company will charge an annual fee of 19 Euros to be part of the service. Currently, 200 million people visit the site each month in Europe, but recent competition from Amazon in the clothing market has pushed the company to launch the paid membership service, as a response to Amazon Prime.
