Google has announced the launch of YouTube Go in Nigeria. The launch means that Nigerians will be able to view videos on the platform whilst not connected to the internet. The app allows users to download videos at a resolution best suited to their internet connection speed, to be watched at any time. Before the launch, India was the only country with access to YouTube Go. As in India, the app is aimed at those with poor internet access, which includes most of Nigeria's 93 million online population.Â
