Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival, is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar. This celebration will kick off on 12 February 2021 and will last for 15 days. With 1.4 billion Chinese people living in China and a further 50 million living abroad, the Chinese market is a hot commodity at this time of year!
However, you should be aware that China is a country with a very distinct language and culture, and businesses looking to resonate with the world's largest ethnic group on this highly celebrated holiday must take the local culture and customs into consideration.

Forget the likes of Google, Facebook and Twitter; instead, you must focus your efforts on Chinese platforms such as Baidu, WeChat and Weibo in order to connect with your local audience.
In this recording of a webinar from January 2021, we will explore the opportunities to engage with your Chinese consumers over Chinese New Year. You will gain an understanding of Chinese New Year and the Chinese culture, giving you the tools to take full advantage of it and launch a successful marketing campaign.
