Ulmart To Begin Accepting Bitcoin

Russia's largest online retailer Ulmart has said that it will be accepting the digital currency Bitcoin from September 2017. According to Ulmart's chairman, it has been looking into Bitcoin since early 2014, in order to make sure it fully understands the cryptocurrency technology. The company appears to be confident about Bitcoin's potential, with its Chief International Officer saying that it “believes such initiatives as Bitcoin can be part of the efforts to develop a 'smart' economy”. He added that he hopes that Ulmart will play a “major role” in creating this.
