Smartphones are top device for mcommerce in UK

Smartphones are now the most popular device used for mobile ecommerce in the UK, according to research by eMarketer. For the first time, smartphones have overtaken tablets as the device of choice for mobile shoppers. At the end of 2017, smartphones accounted for 49.7% of UK mobile ecommerce sales, just ahead of tablets on 49.4%. The remaining 0.9% was accounted for by feature phones. Looking at the UK ecommerce landscape overall, mobile accounted for 19% of all ecommerce sales in 2017. This figure is predicted to rise to 26% by 2021.
