Google Starts Testing Instant Apps

Google has started testing its new instant apps. When eventually released to the public, the apps will run on Android's operating system and are designed to provide almost instant access to an app's features without requiring a download. Android's Dave Burke said that the instant apps idea is “about re-thinking where apps are going”. He also said that they would bridge the gap between webpages and current app downloads, giving users “the speed of a light web page with all of the benefits of a native app”.
