Google has doubled the number of sitelinks that can be included in its search ads. The company recently rolled out an update that introduced the ability for mobile users to see sitelinks in a tappable, carousel format. Although Google has not made an official announcement, it has updated its Google AdWords help section, suggesting an increase from 4 sitelinks to 8. Prior to the change, the documentation told advertisers that ads displayed on computers and tablets would show 2 to 6 sitelinks, with mobile devices showing up to 4 sitelinks. The help section now says that users on mobiles and tablets can see up to 8 links, which appear side-by-side in a single-line carousel format.
