Ecommerce has seen an increase in Brazil, despite the country's recent economic downturn. Data from the country has shown that the ecommerce market has seen a growth of 7.5% over the same period last year. According to a report from Ebit, for the first six months of 2017 the number of online purchases in Brazil grew by nearly 4%. It was noted that sales on marketplaces and mobile have both seen impressive increases. André Dias, COO of Ebit, said that “the data shows that that consumers keep investing in modern devices, with more features, enabling this behaviour change”.
