Cash-On-Delivery Payment Method Reins Supreme In UAE

A study in the UAE has found that cash payment on delivery is still far ahead of any digital service. The study, which was carried out by, found that even though the ecommerce market in the country is one of the fastest growing the world, with an expected value of 20 billion US dollars this year, 75% of buyers still pay with cash-on-delivery. This makes the process of order to delivery less efficient for retailers, and takes longer to complete, leading to lower levels of consumer satisfaction. Meanwhile, m-commerce continues to grow in the Middle Eastern region, with saying that it “grew exponentially in 2015”, with over 60% of sales being driven by mobile shopping.
