The Chinese ecommerce company Alibaba has announced that it wants to help French businesses to sell their products to the Chinese market. Alibaba's CEO, Jack Ma, recently attended a meeting with both the French and Chinese presidents, where the matter of ecommerce was discussed. Ma said that he wishes to open a logistics centre in France in the near future, and increase the sale of French products on Alibaba's websites. He commented on the news, saying: “I will go to France very soon to sign a memorandum of understanding for an Alibaba partnership, including logistics, payment solutions and ecommerce.” Around 1,700 French brands are currently on Alibaba, a figure that Jack Ma hopes will increase.
