Smartphones are predicted to account for 29% of daily media time in South Korea this year. This is according to a report from eMarketer, which predicts that South Koreans will spend 2 hours and 3 minutes on their smartphones every day. This is the longest average amount of time spent on a smartphone of any country in the report. A spokesperson for eMarketer commented on the report's predictions, saying: “We expect to see smartphone time rising further in the coming years as the telecom operators race to be the first in the world to deploy a 5G commercial rollout.”
