YouTube has rolled out an in-app messaging and video sharing feature. The feature had been in a testing phase in several select markets across the world, but has now been launched worldwide. Following the roll-out, users can now send friends videos from within a new tab in the mobile app, which also allows them to chat. YouTube has also said that updates will be made to the feature following the launch in order to improve user experience over time. The new feature will allow people on the app to transfer some of the social aspects usually found in comments sections to a more dedicated feature.Â
