The Chinese social network Weibo has launched an app on the Xbox One. Weibo had previously launched an app onto Microsoft's Window 10 platform, before expanding it onto the company's games console. Whilst Weibo is not widespread in Western markets, it is one of the first social networks to launch an app on Microsoft's Xbox One, which should be a welcome addition in Eastern countries. It also offers the company a chance to expand in the West, where console sales are much higher. However, the new Weibo app has been condensed for its Xbox launch, cutting the microblogging site down to just a timeline and a much smaller choice of interactions.Â
