Walmart has revealed that its AI technology now serves nearly all its 140 million weekly customers. The company has been building the technology at its WalmartLabs offices. The technology helps the company assist the customer in finding the right product, as well as setting prices and managing risk. The vice president of customer experience engineering at WalmartLabs said that the company is building a “bridge where we are enhancing the shopping experience through machine learning”. Using the technology, Walmart customers can now order home deliveries which use AI to route the order efficiently. With this investment, the company’s ecommerce revenue is now rising by 63% each year. This increase has been helped by the company’s recent acquisition of Jet.com.
