2 September 2015. Video advertising is booming in Brazil, according to research by TubeMogul. The research revealed that 224 million pre-roll video ads were played on desktops every day in the second quarter of this year, up a staggering 1,131% on the same period last year. Video advertising also increased on mobiles, with around 36 million video ads being played on mobiles every day, up 530% on last year. The majority of Brazilians watched video ads to the end, with 81% watching video ads all the way through rather than skipping it or leaving the site. This makes Brazil one of the top nations for video ad completion, with only Swedes and people from New Zealand having a higher video ad completion rate. Online display ad spending is expected to hit 1.2 billion US dollars in Brazil this year, accounting for 40% of all online ad spending.
