Apple has launched a new feature in its App Store. The feature, called This Weekend Only, lists money saving deals that can be found within certain apps. In an announcement from the company, Apple explained that users can “get great deals, available only through these apps, on everything from apparel to food delivery, hotel reservations to movie tickets”. This Weekend Only appears in the Apps tab every Thursday, with deals being valid until Sunday. The feature includes discounts from 5 different apps each week. Apple has launched the feature at a strategically important time, with Christmas just around the corner. Christmas purchases on mobile are due to overtake purchases on desktop for the first time in the US this year.Â
