Research by Accengage has found that Android users interact with push notifications far more than iOS users. This trend was found to be consistent across all continents, and was particularly strong in North America and Europe, where Android users were more than three times more likely to interact with push notifications than iOS users. The study suggested that the ability of Android push notifications to include multiline text and images may be a key factor that makes them more appealing to users. App developers are therefore encouraged to ensure that their push notifications include these rich formats. Push notifications are an effective way of connecting with customers.
