Amazon Files Patent For Flying Warehouses

The airships would hover at up to 45,000 feet

Amazon has filed a patent for airborne warehouses that would be carried by airships. The patent also suggests that these warehouses would carry delivery drones that could deliver parcels to nearby buyers. Whilst Amazon has not commented on the patent, the plans would bring an end to the issues that drones have when delivering to locations outside their current short-range limitations. The airships themselves would hover at heights of up to 45,000 feet, meaning that drones would use very little power as they used gravity and small directional changes to reach their location.
