Alipay has launched in Hong Kong. This is the first time the payment service has been launched in a market outside mainland China, but it can currently only be used by consumers in Hong Kong who are shopping on Tmall and Taobao. However, the app is due to be expanded to offline stores in Hong Kong, bringing it into competition with Samsung Pay and Apple Pay.Â
