Why monitor your rankings?
Internet users are extremely sensitive to websites' positions in the search engine results pages (SERPs) and usually only visit those that rank near the top of the first SERP. Sometimes changes to the search engine algorithms or changes that you have made on-site can cause your website's ranking to go down. It is therefore very important to keep a close eye on your ranking so that you can act immediately if it drops.
An SEO specialist will examine your ranking data to identify if any changes have taken place since the last check-point or baseline. The report calculates the visibility score by calculating the percentage of keywords ranking vs. the total number of keywords. They will compare rankings of a particular set of keywords for as many search engines as specified by you.
This report will allow you to monitor any changes in ranking and associate them with changes in the website, search engines, market etc.
The report can be run as a one-off to establish a benchmark on a particular set of keywords or can be ordered on an on-going basis. Monthly or quarterly updates are recommended.
