The delivery format can be tailored for its purpose. Please discuss any specific delivery requirements with your Account Manager, such as which delivery format you need, if you need to note who is speaking in the audio throughout the transcription, or if there are parts of the audio which need cleaning up, etc. Please note that specific requirements include a surcharge, and these will be noted in your proposal for you.

Why is transcription important?

Whether your transcription is simply for a written document, or whether it will be used to create same-language or multilingual subtitles/audio, it is important that you accurately transcribe the content from its source.

This service is commonly requested to form the basis for creating multilingual subtitles or voiceover for your videos, making them more accessible and appealing to your global, hard of hearing or visually impaired audience and boosting their popularity.

We will transcribe your recorded audio, ready for translation into any language. You will then be able to use this multilingual transcription for publication purposes, your records, or for archiving.

Please note: A minimum charge will be applied to audio which is less than five minutes in length, per language.

How we ensure quality

The process begins by completing a questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

We will need a copy of the recorded audio. It is vital that we understand the intended purpose of the content so that we can plan the correct delivery format and cost the service according to your needs. It is also vital that you advise us if there are any special requirements, such as omitting certain parts of the video or cleaning up the content to remove speech disfluencies.

Providing us with any related content such as a web page, blog, or printed assets relating to the content in your audio/video would help to provide context and clarity to avoid any misinterpretations during the transcription. This will also help with further services such as translation and video creation should you need them.

Depending on the sensitivity of the content to be transcribed, we would be happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement at your request.

A trained transcriptionist will transcribe the audio provided.

We will provide a copy of the transcription for your validation and provide the opportunity for one round of amends if required (such as unclear audio being misinterpreted).

If transcribing directly into a target language for subtitling or voiceover, your approval will be required before recording is carried out.
