Don't let poor data quality lead to poor decisions

Google Analytics provides detailed statistical data about your website's traffic and conversions, enabling you to understand how your website is being used, which helps you make informed decisions about future campaign activity and improve the usability of your website. We will set up a Google Analytics account for your company, making sure that the goals and the data in the reports are meaningful for your business.

Google Analytics first-time configuration can help...

  • 1

Before investing in online marketing and/or starting to optimise your website.

  • 2

When you want to gain better insights into your website’s performance.

  • 3

When you want to add another Reporting View to an existing Google Analytics Account or Property.

  • 4

When you expand to another country.

  • 5

When you set up an additional website.

Your data is your business; respect it

Google Analytics is a very powerful website analytics tool.

It measures almost everything that happens on your website. It enables you to discover how your users interact with your website, which in turn helps you to make decisions about how well or otherwise your website is performing against your objectives.

However, if your configuration doesn't match best practice standards you may not be collecting the right data or clean data.

We'll set up a Reporting View for you, in addition to a Test and 'All Data view' per Google's best practice recommendations.

This will include:

  • setting up and applying filters to exclude all non-genuine user activity e.g. your own teams
  • setting up and applying filters to exclude bots and crawlers, which can create spam visits
  • setting up goals
  • setting time zone settings
  • setting up user access permissions
  • ensuring consistency with any existing Views you may have
  • advice on channel and campaign naming through utm coding, to ensure you keep collecting clean and consistent data

Next step...

We'll start by asking you some questions via our briefing questionnaire, which will include key data that you'll need to provide to us.

Upon ordering, if you have an existing Google Analytics account, we'll need you to 'invite' us to see the relevant Google Analytics Account(s), Property(ies) and View(s). If you use Google Tag Manager (recommended) we'll also need access to the container.

Once we're clear about the configuration you need, we'll set about checking the configuration in detail against this.

As we progress through the review, we'll compile your report, detailing where improvements are needed and provide a costed proposal for implementing them, should you wish us to do so.
