CAT tool linguist licenses
Utilise CAT tools
Depending on your localisation workflow, your teams might need to work within a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool or translation management system (TMS) which we are using. However, for whatever reason, you might not want to buy a linguist licence. In such a case, we can rent you a linguist licence on a monthly basis. You will receive the required number of linguist licences for the time required, for the relevant CAT tool or TMS you need to access.ENQUIRE NOW
Here’s when CAT tool linguist licenses can help!
When you want to incorporate in-house resources into the localisation workflow but do not want to buy your own linguist licences.
When you need your in-house resources to work on a particular, short-term project but do not want to buy your own linguist licences.
When you regularly review translated content in-house but do not want to buy you own linguist licences.
Why rent a licence?
Depending on your localisation workflow, there may be a need for your teams to work within a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool or translation management system (TMS) which we are using.
In this case, we are able to provide you with a linguist licence in order to complete the work. The licences can be rented to in-house translators and/or in-house reviewers. The licences are rented on a monthly basis and charges apply per licence.
A key benefit of this is that you do not have to purchase your own linguist licences. If you only need a licence for a particular project or period of time, then you can rent this from us with no obligation to buy. The licences can be activated/deactivated immediately so they can also be used in urgent cases.
CAT tool licence allocation process
The process begins by completing a detailed briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.
We will need to know the following information:
- The number of licences required.
- The length of the rental in months.
- The target language.
- The name and email address of the in-house resource(s) to assign the licences to.
Upon receipt of this information, your designated project manager, with help from a localisation engineer if needed, will allocate the licences to each of the resources. We will assign the licences to the relevant step in the workflow. We will also propose a training session to teach you about the tool/system.
Please note that CAT tool/TMS training is not included and must be ordered as a separate service.
