Our reviewers work on a variety of projects simultaneously, as well as booking in potential work well in advance. As your urgent request may disrupt their schedule, they have to charge more for their services in order to accommodate the job over the weekend or out of office hours.
The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.
We will ask you to provide your materials in an editable format which we can easily review with your target markets in mind. We will employ a team of professional reviewers who are native speakers of the target language and with specialist knowledge and experience in your industry to perform a review of the translated content looking at style and consistency across the board.
The quality checks performed by the reviewer at this stage involve the following:
- Revision: a careful comparison of source and target texts, identifying potential mistranslations, checking accuracy and terminology consistency, etc.
- Review: taking a "fresh look" at the content, assessing the translation as an independent text that has to conform to target readers' expectations, concentrating mostly on style.
The third-party reviewer will deliver a report highlighting any amends to be made before we deliver the final project. At this stage, any glossaries and translation memories will also be updated and feedback will be sent to the original translator.
A skilled project manager will be assigned to your project and they will arrange and monitor the review process. They will also act as your point of contact throughout the whole project and once the project is finalised, will deliver the reviewed content by the agreed deadline and in your preferred format.
