When you have graphics and artwork which need translating, but do not have access to the original source files used to create the content, then the text will have to be extracted prior to translation. Our team of Graphic Designers will first extract the written content from the provided artwork before arranging the text in an easy to read bilingual table which can then be sent for translation. The extracted and translated text can then be used during the graphics editing stage in order to recreate local versions of your images in your target language(s).Learn More

When you have graphics and artwork which need translating, but do not have access to the original source files used to create the content, then the text will have to be extracted prior to translation. When paired with a graphics translation service you will be delivered translated content which can be used during the editing stage to recreate your images in the target language. If you have the in-house capabilities to edit the graphic content you may only require the text to be translated in a format which can be used by your designers who may not be native speakers of your target language(s). You will receive a bilingual table which corresponds to the original artwork for easy insertion into the graphics or for reference.
The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.
We need any available copy of the images or artwork that you may have in order to extract the text ready to be pushed through the translation workflow. Depending on the number of images to be localised, and the complexity of the images, your dedicated project manager may manually extract the text, or one of our graphic designers may make use of an optical character recognition (OCR) tool to extract the text more quickly.
The extracted text will be arranged in an easy to read bilingual table which can then be sent for translation prior to the graphics editing stage of the project.
