Enhance your appearance in the search results and gain more traffic

Google and other search engines use structured data (also called Schema mark-up) that they find on the web to better understand the content of webpages and also to gather information about the web and the world in general. Structured data also makes webpages eligible to appear in special search result features or receive rich snippets. Appearing in special search results features can increase exposure of a website, leading to more traffic. Meanwhile, rich snippets are more attractive and useful for searchers, and they tend to lead to higher click-through rates in organic search. With this service, we will write structured data code for you to place on your webpages.

This service can help…

When you want to boost traffic to your website.

When you want to improve your click-through rates.

When you want to provide more targeted data for searchers.

What is structured data?

Google and other search engines use structured data (also called Schema mark-up) that they find on the web to better understand the content of webpages and also to gather information about the web and the world in general.

By including structured data on a page, search engines are provided with clues about the meaning of a page and information classifying the page's content. For example, on a recipe page, these can be the ingredients needed, the cooking time and temperature, the calories, and so on. Structured data is also used to enable special search result features and enhancements such as rich snippets, breadcrumbs, graphical elements, FAQs, business listings, knowledge panels, speakables and more. For example, a recipe page with valid structured data will be eligible to appear in a graphical search result, and a product page with relevant product mark-up may receive an enhanced search results snippet with information about prices, availability and shipping.

Enhancing the appearance of your page's search result or having it appear in a special search result feature can result in higher click-through rates, which can lead to more conversions and sales.

Webcertain provides a range of activities supporting structured data implementations, which include identifying objects and types to mark-up on a page or entire website, creating mark-up code, and post-implementation checks to verify if structured data on a page is valid and correct.

How it works

The process begins by completing a briefing questionnaire to clarify your objectives. This briefing will be visible to all the team members involved with delivering the service and is the foundation for all our quality checks.

In order for us to deliver this service, the following requirements must be met:

  • You must have the ability to edit the HTML code of your webpages.
  • Your webpages must contain relevant and substantial information for which structured data can be created.
  • Your webpages must contain the exact information which you want to be marked up. For example, if review information is to appear in the snippet, then this information must already appear on the webpage.

We will ask you which webpages you want marked up and the information on the webpage that you want included. Alternatively, we can recommend which webpages should be marked up and what elements on those webpages we recommend marking up at an additional cost.

An SEO Specialist will write structured data code (JSON-LD) for you to place on your webpages.
