Twitter Rolls Out Update For Customer Support Accounts

Twitter has rolled out some updates to help accounts offering customer support. Twitter accounts will now be able to indicate if they provide customer support and what times they are online. This will help customers to know whether an account can provide them with support, as well as what time they can expect a response. To mark your account as one that offers support, you need to go to a new Customer Support page on the Twitter Dashboard and tick the box underneath where it says “Support Account”. You will also be able to fill in your “Support Hours” on this page. Once the changes have been saved, the words “Provides Support” will appear on your Twitter profile, as well as your support hours. It will also turn on Direct Messages, which means that anyone will be able to send you a private message on Twitter. The Direct Message button will be placed prominently on your profile.
