Microsoft Pays People To Use Bing

Microsoft has launched a program in the UK that rewards users for using Bing instead of other search engines. Also available in the US, the Microsoft Rewards system lets people accrue points for using the search engine. Users receive three points for each Bing search if they have a Microsoft account and are using the Microsoft Edge browser, with that being doubled to six points after August the 15th this year. These points can then be exchanged for rewards such as Skype credit, Groove Music passes and Xbox digital gift cards. The number of points is capped at 30 points each day per user, but this can be raised if an individual manages to break the 500-point milestone within a month. The system is expected to be launched in France, Germany, Canada within a few months.
