Google AdWords to drop review extensions

Google AdWords is to get rid of review extensions next month. Review extensions are a type of ad extension that displays editorial reviews of a company's products or services. They were launched in 2013 but never became particularly popular, which could explain why they are being retired now. They will stop appearing in ads this month, and will be removed from Google AdWords entirely in February 2018, along with all performance data. Advertisers currently using review extensions are advised to download performance reports now and to consider using alternatives moving forward, such as sitelinks, callouts or structured snippets extensions.
