Facebook To Construct New Data Centre In Denmark

Facebook is to construct a new data centre in Denmark. The building will be only the third location of its kind outside the US, joining Facebook's similar centres in Ireland and Sweden. Facebook's director of data centre operations, Niall McEntegart, announced that it will be “one of the most advanced, energy-efficient data centres in the world”. The construction will be powered entirely by renewable energy and will cost over 100 million US dollars. The entire location will be made up of two separate buildings and is planned to be fully operational within four years.
