Research by Criteo has found that the majority of online shoppers in Indonesia are starting their consumer journey on a desktop computer. It found that two-thirds of online shoppers in the country are starting their initial research into products on a desktop, compared to a third who use a mobile device. This may come as a surprise to many marketers, as the majority of new internet users in the country are going online using a smartphone. The research shows that businesses targeting the country need to make sure that they do not ignore their desktop websites.
