A study has revealed that Australians are now using smartphones more than desktop devices for their online activities. The report, called Know Your Data, shows that top digital tasks such as email, search, social media, and accessing the news and weather are now predominantly done on mobile. A spokesperson from Yahoo7, which conducted the research, said that the new data would “significantly improve the relevance, accuracy and effectiveness” of marketing campaigns. They also added that the survey results “provides marketers with the most intimate understanding of their audiences yet, revealing how they live their lives through technology”.
