Weibo Sees Fantastic Q3 2017 Results

The Chinese social media company Weibo has announced its results for Q3 2017. Weibo saw strong revenue growth in Q3, raking in 320 million US dollars for the quarter, up 81% on the same time period last year. This growth was driven primarily by the company expanding its advertising customer base, developing new marketing solutions and improving the efficiency of its advertising systems. The social network also saw an increase in its number of users. Weibo now has 376 million monthly active users, up by 79 million compared to the same time period last year. Weibo is not the only Chinese social network to see strong growth. Its main rival, the hugely popular messaging and lifestyle app WeChat, recently announced that it now handles 38 billion messages every day, up 25% on last year.
