Pinterest has introduced ad groups to its advertising platform. Advertisers can now place Promoted Pins within ad groups and control bids, budgets, targeting, and start and end dates at the ad group level. All new campaigns will use the new campaign structure. Advertisers with existing campaigns will receive a notification in Ads Manager and be prompted to decide their ad groups and assign their budgets. Advertisers are advised to create ad groups based on factors such as product lines and bid optimisation. Pinterest hopes that the update will give advertisers more control and flexibility when it comes to managing and testing their campaigns.
