The tool sends users an actionable report of things to improve
Google has launched a new tool to help small business owners understand how well their site performs on the mobile web.
To use the tool, you need to go to testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com and type your website’s URL into the search bar.
The tool assesses a website’s mobile friendliness, mobile speed and desktop speed – giving each attribute a score out of 100.
You can then choose to download a more detailed report. This report is free and to get it you just have to enter your email address.
The report gets emailed to you within 24 hours and provides you with a detailed, actionable list of the things the things you should fix and the things that are fine on your website.
The importance of mobile performance has been highlighted recently, with Google announcing that mobile page speed will be a mobile ranking factor in the near future.
