Google and Temasek have published their latest report into the South East Asian internet landscape. Compared to a previous report, they have increased their predictions on both the number of internet users in the region and the size of the internet economy. According to the report, South East Asia now has 330 million internet users, a 13% compound annual growth rate since 2015. Furthermore, the region's online economy is US$50 billion, with this figure set to grow at a 10-year compound annual growth rate of 27%, more than the 20% predicted by the report last year. Most of this growth is expected to be driven by ecommerce and ride-hailing services.Â
