Mcommerce Rises Amongst Affluent Chinese Population

A study by Emerging Insider has found that 78% of affluent Chinese consumers now purchase high-end products through mobile. 700 affluent Chinese mobile users were questioned for the survey, all of whom had annual incomes of more than 87,000 US dollars. Zachary Weiner, CEO of Emerging Insider in Chicago, said that “China's rise in mobile has been more pronounced than elsewhere in the world”. The report says that consumer comfort with mcommerce was growing, and that 36% of respondents had first seen a purchase on the social media account of an influencer. It was also found that 65% of those questioned for the study said that they would rarely make a purchase in-store without first finding the item online.
