Majority Of South Koreans Watch Live Streams

A survey from Nasmedia has found that internet users in South Korea are frequently using live streaming. According to the report, nearly 80% of people in the country have used a live streaming platform in the past 12 months, with YouTube being the most popular service. 57% of respondents reported using YouTube for live streaming purposes, followed by local giant Naver at 45%. Live video streaming could be on the way to taking over from television in the future, with more than half of those polled for the survey saying that they had watched the news online via a live stream.
