LinkedIn has launched a low data version of its app, called LinkedIn Lite. The app has been released in India for Android phones, and will soon be released in another 60 countries. The app has been designed to be usable for people living in countries with low data access. The app takes up just 1MB of space on a device, with pages said to be capable of loading in just five seconds on a 2G connection. Whilst heavy graphic features have been removed, users can still use the news feed, messaging and notification features, amongst others.Â
