Instagram Stories Hits 250 Million Daily Users

After overtaking Snapchat's similar feature, Instagram Stories has now hit the 250 million daily user milestone. After surpassing 200 million users in April, Instagram Stories now comfortably beats Snapchat's 166 million users, with its rate of growth continuing to rise. Facebook owned Instagram says that the success is due to its focus on introducing new creative tools, and “making it easier to share any moment” or story from accounts that matter to the user. Meanwhile, the platform is also increasing user options on its Live feature – something which Snapchat lacks. From now on, people will be able to share a live broadcast in their story for the 24 hours following its original showing. This means that users and brands will now be able to ensure that their followers will be able to view the broadcasts, which in the past have been easy to miss.
