Google Launches Google Go App For Emerging Markets

Google has launched a new app called Google Go, which is aimed at emerging markets. Google Go is a lightweight version of its search app and is especially designed for mobiles with slow or intermittent internet connections. It is just 5MB in size and includes features such as offline support. The app was first launched in beta in August 2017 under the name Search Lite, but this new launch is its first proper release. As well as being optimised for speed, it aims to help users search for and discover information by offering featured snippets which summarise topics, surface related content and suggest topics. Users can search either by typing in their query or by using their voice.
