Google has introduced a 'quick filter' option to its Google Image Search feature for mobile. When users perform an image search on a mobile phone, they are now able to filter the images by 'latest', 'clip art' or GIFs. There is also a colour filtering option, which can be customised by users and saved for reuse on the search engine. Whilst the update is yet to be announced by the company, its appearance on its mobile search page is essentially an announcement in itself, with the feature now available in multiple locations around the world. This change comes shortly after the addition of shoppable images on Google Image Search results pages, meaning that the colour filter can now be used by shoppers looking to buy a red dress, for example.Â
