Fashion could be the next big sector to take off in the Middle Eastern ecommerce market. Fashion is currently underrepresented in the Middle Eastern ecommerce space, accounting for just 2% of all ecommerce sales, compared to 20% in the West. Ecommerce in the region has so far focused very much on tech, perfume and home accessories. Brands wanting to enter the fashion ecommerce market would therefore face very little competition and could establish themselves as a leader in the market before the landscape became more saturated.
