Denmark has seen impressive growth in its B2C ecommerce market. Data from the first six months of this year has shown another double-digit growth in online sales in the country. According to the Danish internet trade association, FDIH, sales increased by 13% year-on-year in the first half of 2017 to a value of 8.5 billion US dollars. The managing director of FDIH said that “it is not surprising that we see another sales record, because both Danish consumers and stores are on the rise when it comes to ecommerce”. This increase has been attributed to fast-rising sales on mobile devices. In fact, 14% of all of the country’s ecommerce sales came from mobile over the six-month period, compared to just 10% in the first half 2016.
